Booking & Cancellation
How do I book a car at SEIYON?
Book online at seiyon.com.my by selecting pickup location, dates, and vehicle. We accept FPX, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UnionPay, and JCB. Confirmation email sent within minutes. Also available on Klook, Trip, Rentalcars, DiscoverCars and other booking platforms.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, free cancellation before pickup time. Bank/payment processor charges (2-3%) incurred during the original transaction are deducted from your refund — these are non-recoverable fees from the payment provider, not SEIYON. Refunds processed in 7-14 business days. Contact via WhatsApp, [email protected], or your booking platform.
What if I need to return the car early?
Early returns accepted with 24-hour notice. For long-term rentals and subscription plans, contact us via WhatsApp to discuss prorated refund options.
Can I extend my rental?
Yes. Contact via WhatsApp or phone at least 24 hours before return time. Subject to vehicle availability and current daily rates.
Documents & Requirements
What documents do I need to rent a car?
Malaysian customers: NRIC and valid Malaysian driving license. Foreign customers: passport, original driving license, and international driving permit (IDP) if license is not in English or Bahasa Malaysia. Credit card in the hirer’s own name required for deposit — third party credit cards or debit cards not accepted.
What is the minimum age to rent a car?
Drivers and hirer must be aged 23-65 with at least 2 years driving experience. Valid Malaysian or international driving license required. Malaysian "P" licenses not accepted.
Can foreign drivers rent a car at SEIYON?
Yes. Need valid passport, original home country driving license, and IDP if license not in English or Bahasa Malaysia. Minimum 2 years driving experience, aged 23-65.
Insurance & Payment
Is insurance included in the rental price?
Yes. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) included on every rental, excess liability RM 8,000-30,000 depending on vehicle category. Optional Liability Reduction Option (LRO) from RM 30/day reduces excess to RM 4,000-15,000. Third party insurance covers up to RM 3,000,000 property damage and unlimited bodily injury.
How does the security deposit work?
Deposit pre-authorized on credit card before pickup to cover summonses, fuel, or damage costs. Credit card must be in the hirer’s own name — third party cards and debit cards not accepted. Released back to your card after return, subject to no damages, violations, or fuel discrepancies.
What payment methods do you accept?
FPX bank transfers and credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, JCB. Credit card at pickup must be in the authorized hirer’s name. Third party credit cards or debit cards not accepted.
What happens if I get a traffic summons or speeding fine?
Hirer is liable for all traffic and parking summonses during the rental period. RM 30 administration fee (excluding 6% SST) charged per violation in addition to the original fine. SEIYON reserves the right to charge for summonses received even after rental ends.
Pickup & Delivery
Do you offer airport pickup and delivery?
Yes. Dedicated counters at KLIA Terminal 1 (Arrival Hall) and KLIA Terminal 2 (klia2). Operating hours 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM daily. Collection and delivery service available from RM 30 per trip depending on distance.
Do you deliver vehicles to hotels or other locations?
Yes. Vehicle delivery available within Klang Valley for an additional fee starting from RM 30, depending on distance and accessibility. Contact us via WhatsApp for delivery quotes to specific locations. Hotel delivery within KLIA area often complimentary for bookings of 3 days or longer.
What if my flight arrives outside counter hours?
After-hours and Malaysia/State Public Holiday surcharge RM 150-250 applies. Notify us in advance with flight details and staff will meet you at your scheduled arrival time, even if flight is delayed.
Vehicles & Services
What types of vehicles are in your fleet?
Diverse fleet includes economy cars (Perodua Axia, Bezza), compact sedans (Honda City, Toyota Vios), MPVs (Nissan Serena, Toyota Alphard), premium SUVs (Hyundai Staria) and more. All 2025-2026 models. Rented with full tank, must be returned full.
Is roadside assistance included?
Yes. SEIYON has appointed ALLIANZ Road Rangers for 24-hour towing and breakdown assistance throughout Malaysia at no extra cost. Courtesy car provided if your rental becomes undriveable due to accident or breakdown.
