What documents do I need to rent a car at KLIA?
Malaysian customers: NRIC and valid Malaysian driving license. Foreign customers: passport, original driving license, and international driving permit (IDP) if license is not in English or Bahasa Malaysia. A credit card in the hirer’s own name is required for the deposit — third party credit cards or debit cards are not accepted.
What if my flight is delayed?
No problem. We track your flight and hold your booking. Our KLIA counters are open 8:30AM–10PM. If you land outside those hours, our RM250 out-of-hours service delivers the keys to you at the terminal — just let us know your flight details when booking.
Can foreign tourists rent a car at KLIA?
Yes. Foreign drivers need a valid passport, original home-country driving license, and an IDP if the license is not in English or Bahasa Malaysia. Minimum 2 years driving experience, aged 23–65.
Is insurance included in the rental price?
Yes. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is included on every rental, with excess liability of RM 8,000–30,000 depending on vehicle category. An optional Liability Reduction Option (LRO) from RM 30/day reduces the excess to RM 4,000–15,000. Third party insurance covers up to RM 3,000,000 property damage and unlimited bodily injury.
Can I take the car across the border to Singapore or Thailand?
Cross-border travel requires prior written approval from SEIYON and may be subject to additional insurance and fees. Please contact us via WhatsApp before booking so we can confirm eligibility for your chosen vehicle and route.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, free cancellation before pickup time. Bank/payment processor charges (2–3%) incurred during the original transaction are deducted from your refund — these are non-recoverable fees from the payment provider, not SEIYON. Refunds are processed in 7–14 business days.
